Copenhagen Games is the biggest yearly international gaming event in Denmark.
We were hired to help an event ending up with more than 10,000 people to convince the potential participators and guests, who were having doubts about going!
With concerns about recurring problems with participants and guests postponing their purchase decisions, Copenhagen Games was experiencing less revenue and great difficulties in estimation and management.
For this year’s event they had even risked scaling up the location to fit more than twice as many people as the previous year!
With departure in our brand- and target group analysis, we identified the influencers whom were known as the opinion leaders for the target group of attending gaming events.
We made sure that our influencers had an individual reach into the differentiated segments of the total target group, as this enabled us to personalize the marketing efforts both before and during the event.
Copenhagen Games 2018 was a great success with many viewers at home following the influencers streaming from the event, but even more attending the actual event!
Even after having doubled the capacity from the previous year, Copenhagen Games found no other solution than expanding further for 2019.
